BSX Index edges up

A total of 34,900 shares valued at $112,000 sold yesterday on The Royal Gazette/BSX.
Bank of Butterfield saw 26,000 shares sold, leaving its closing price unchanged at $1.99.
The Ascendant Group, which includes power firm Belco, saw 7,900 shares sold, leaving it 40 cents up on the day (eight per cent) at $5.40 per share.
And insurance firm BF&M saw 1,000 shares change hands, leaving its price down 40 cents (2.2 per cent) at $17.60.
The Royal Gazette/BSX closed the day at 1,366.02, up 0.7 points (0.05 per cent).
The BSX Insurance Index closed at 1,521, up 14.21 points (0.94 per cent).
