Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd was the sole gainer in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.

BAS climbed eight cents, or 3.2 per cent, on the trading of 5,000 shares, to close on $2.61.

Butterfield Bank, which closed unchanged on $1.99 as 1,000 shares changed hands, was the only other stock to trade.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 0.34 of a point to close on 1,364.08.

Trading volume totalled 6,000 shares, while turnover was $15,040.

The BSX Insurance Index slid 18.79 points, or 1.22 per cent, to 1,516.94.
