Ascendant shares improve

A total of 3,748 shares, worth $15,507, traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX.
Utilities group Ascendant, the parent of power firm Belco, was the biggest mover, with 2,400 shares changing hands.
The trade left Ascendant 15 cents (2.9 per cent) up at $5.40.
Some 1,348 Bank of Butterfield shares were sold, leaving its price unchanged at $1.99.
The Royal Gazette/BSX closed at 1,365.38, up 1.30 points (0.1 per cent).
The Bermuda Insurance Index closed the day at 1,522.59, up 16.50 points (1.1 per cent).
