Butterfield shares hit a high

Bank of Butterfield shares hit a year high of $2.10.
The bank’s price moved up ten cents (five per cent) after 600 shares traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX.
The previous high over 52 weeks was $2.05.
Utilities group Ascendant — parent of power firm Belco — saw 100 shares move, leaving its share price unchanged at $5.80.
In total, 700 shares worth $1,775 changed hands.
The Royal Gazette/BSX closed at 1,422.10, up 47.21 points (3.43 per cent).
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 7.64 points (0.49 per cent) at 1,562.66.
