Ascendant rises 1.8%

A total of 8,400 shares worth $104,941 traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange today.
Insurance firm BF&M Ltd saw 5,100 shares trade, leaving its price unchanged at $17.75.
Fellow insurer Argus Group had 2,000 shares change hands, leaving its price down five cents (1.4 per cent) at $3.50.
Ascendant Group, the parent firm of power company Belco, finished the day up 10 cents at $5.70 (1.8 per cent) after 1,300 shares traded.
And the Bank of Butterfield had 40 of its preference shares changes hands, leaving its price unchanged at $1,150.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed at 1,369.25, down 0.03 points.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 2.39 points (0.15 per cent) at 1,581.31.
