The Bank of Butterfield was the sole trader on the Bermuda Stock Exchange today.

A total of 5,600 shares in the bank worth $11,050 changed hands, leaving its price up two cents (1 per cent) at $1.99.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed at 1,362.05 — up 9.44 points (0.7 per cent).

The BSX Insurance Index also closed up 7.69 points (0.5 per cent) at 1,556.73.
