Butterfield ends week higher
More than $300,000-worth of shares traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index last week.
Butterfield Bank improved by one cent (0.06 per cent) to close at $1.61 after 9,000 shares traded, however the bank’s preference shares slid by $1 (0.01 per cent) to $1,135 after 108 were exchanged.
The biggest faller was Argus Group, which saw its shares lose 24 cents (6.2 per cent) to close at $3.66 after 3,900 changed hands during the week. Also moving lower were shares of BF&M, down 5 cents (0.3 per cent) at $17.20 after 3,230 were exchanged.
Also were shares of Ascendant Group, KeyTech and international company Shore Capital Group, but with no movement to the price of their stocks.
A total of 50,038 shares traded in the Index during the week, representing a value of $318,016. The Royal Gazette/BSX closed 0.68 points lower (0.05 per cent) at 1,173.82. The BSX Insurance Index was up 13.94 points (0.87 per cent) at 1,595.99.
