The Bank of Butterfield saw 5,000 of its shares move, leaving its price unchanged at $1.68.

And 3,700 shares in insurance firm BF&M changed hands, leaving it five cents (0.3 per cent) down at $17.15.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed down 0.38 points (0.03 per cent) at 1,207.74.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 3.34 points (0.21 per cent) at 1,595.90.
