The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 4.96 points (0.37 per cent) at 1,336.68.

A total of 13,960 Bank of Butterfield shares traded, moving the stock price up one cent (0.5 per cent) at $1.98.

Utilities firm Ascendant Group was up five cents (one per cent) at $5.05 after 1,900 shares changed hands.

And BF&M rose one cent (0.1 per cent) to $16.98 after 100 shares traded.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day 3.25 points (0.20 per cent) down at 1,627.91.
