Butterfield the only stock to trade

The last day of trading before the Christmas holiday was a quiet on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The only stock to trade was Butterfield Bank, which remained unchanged on $1.95 as 3,000 shares changed hands.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 1,310.21, with a total trading turnover for Christmas Eve of $5,850.
The BSX Insurance Index of the Island’s leading international insurance and reinsurance companies gained 9.16 points, or 0.55 per cent, to close on 1,662.89.
