The Bermuda Stock Exchange saw 200 shares change hands on its first day of trading for 2016.

A total of 200 shares in insurance firm BF&M changed hands, leaving its price unchanged at $16.85.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index also closed unchanged at 1,304.06.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 29.55 points (1.79 per cent) at 1,622.99.
