The Bank of Butterfield was down one cent (0.56 per cent) at $1.76 after 13,661 shares moved.

Insurance company BF&M stood at $16.71, down six cents (0.3 per cent) after 2,800 shares traded.

And utilities firm Ascendant was unchanged at $4.80 after 1,200 shares changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 7.69 points (0.48 per cent) at 1,602.01.
