The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 14.76 points, or 1.24 per cent, at 1,205.27.

Investment holding company Somers Ltd was up $1.25, or 9.61 per cent, at $14.25 after 350 shares traded.

Telecoms firm KeyTech rose 49 cents, or 13.96 per cent, to $4 after 3,000 shares sold.

Bank of Butterfield was unchanged at $1.70 after 9,500 shares changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 22.3 points or 1.34 per cent at 1,642.04.
