The Royal Gazette/BSX closed down 6.67 points, or 0.57 per cent, at 1,167.51.

Insurance firm Argus was down 34 cents, or 8.5 per cent, at $3.66 after 3,000 shares moved.

The Bank of Butterfield was unchanged at $1.65 after 43,000 shares changed hands.

And utilities firm Ascendant Group was also unchanged at $4.40 after 4,400 shares traded.

The BSX Insurance Index dropped 1.81 per cent, or 0.11 per cent, to 1,669.04.
