Insurance firm Argus rose one cent, or 0.3 per cent, to $4 after 1,500 shares changed hands.

The Bank of Butterfield was unchanged at $1.65 after 20,000 shares traded.

Utilities firm Ascendant was also unchanged, standing at $4.25 after 54 shares moved.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 0.2 points, or 0.02 per cent, at 1,180.01.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 1.38 points, or 0.08 per cent, at 1,641.07.
