The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 15.63 points, or 1.32 per cent, at 1,195.64.

Bank of Butterfield was up four cents, or 2.4 per cent, at $1.69 after 3,553 shares traded.

Bank of Butterfield preference shares dropped $101.99, or 9.3 per cent, to $1,000.01 after 50 shares changed hands.

Telecoms firm KeyTech stood at $3.75, down 15 cents, or 3.9 per cent, after 1,700 shares moved.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 11.56 points, or 0.70 per cent, at 1,629.51.
