The sole trading of the day was in the Bank of Butterfield, which saw 28,300 shares worth $46,695 change hands.

The bank’s shares ended 1 cent down, or 0.6 per cent at $1.65.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 37.74 points, or 2.28 per cent, at 1,618.58.
