The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed down 1.52 points, or 0.13 per cent, at 1,174.10.

Insurance firm Argus dropped five cents, or 1.3 per cent to $3.95, after 8,000 shares sold.

And telecoms firm KeyTech was down four cents, or 1.1 per cent, at $3.61 after 1,900 shares moved.

The BSX insurance Index ended the day up 8.54 points, or 0.53 per cent, at 1,617.89.
