Butterfield Bank shares closed down one cent, or 0.6 per cent, at $1.65 after 26,143 were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The only stock to trade was LOM Financial, with 6,000 shares changing hands but without any movement in the share price of $2.30.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed at 1,169.48, down 4.56 points, or 0.39 per cent.

The BSX Insurance Index ended at 1,611.3, down 6.92 points, or 0.43 per cent.
