KeyTech shares surge 53% higher
The biggest winner on the Bermuda Stock Exchange today was telecoms firm KeyTech, which rocketed by $1.05, or 53.8 per cent.
The jump came after 500 shares in the company traded — which added about $45 million to its market capitalisation.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index yesterday closed up 7 points, or 0.6 per cent, at 1,170.20.
A total of 13,893 shares in the Bank of Butterfield moved, leaving its price down 2 cents or 1.2 per cent at $1.62.
Insurance firm BF&M was up 10 cents, or 0.6 per cent, at $17.10 after 602 shares sold.
Bermuda Aviation Services rose 5 cents, or 2.2 per cent, to $2.30 after 200 shares changed hands.
Utilities company Ascendant went up 6 cents, or 1.2 per cent, to $5.05 after the movement of 400 shares.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 3.29 points or 0.20 per cent at 1,675.30.
