Utilities firm Ascendant Group rose 15 cents, or 2.8 per cent, on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The move came after 12,700 shares changed hands, moving the shares to $5.60.

Insurance company BF&M stayed at $17.15 after 858 shares sold.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 1.45 point, or 0.11 per cent, at 1,360.6.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 2.43 points, or 0.15 per cent, at 1663.1.
