BF&M shares jump 4.3%
Shares of insurance firm BF&M jumped 74 cents, or 4.3 per cent, on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
On Monday the company reported half-year net earnings of $13.2 million, up $1.8 million compared with the same period in 2015.
Yesterday 200 of the company’s shares were traded, lifting the stock’s price to $17.99.
Utilities firm Ascendant went up 25 cents, or 4.3 per cent, to $6 after 200 shares changed hands.
Bank of Butterfield was unchanged at $19.25 after 2,000 shares traded.
Telecoms firm KeyTech was unchanged at $3 after 200 shares sold.
And Somers Ltd was also unchanged at $13.75 after 200 shares sold.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 8.08 points, or 0.60 per cent, at 1,349.49.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 11.52 points, or 0.69 per cent, at 1663.45.
