Bank of Butterfield shares worth more than $1.02 million today traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The bank’s price dropped 50 cents, or 2.1 per cent, to $23.50 after 43,586 shares sold.

The share price for the bank on the New York Stock Exchange was up 6 cents, or 0.25 per cent, at $24.07.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed down 22.49 points, or 1.44 per cent, at 1,541.30.

The BSX Insurance Index closed down 50.03 points, or 2.92 per cent, at 1,664.58.
