Shares of Butterfield Bank closed at $25, down five cents, or 0.2 per cent, on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index today.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were $25.70 during midafternoon trading, down six cents, or 0.23 per cent.

The Bermuda Stock Exchange closed early ahead of Hurricane Nicole, and will remain closed tomorrow. It is due to reopen on Friday.

The index ended the day at 1,612.88, down 2.25 points, or 0.14 per cent.

Also finishing lower was the BSX Insurance Index, at 1,676.87, down 12.59. or 0.75 per cent.
