Butterfield shares rise on BSX

Bank of Butterfield shares rose 10 cents to $25.10 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
The move, equal to 0.4 per cent, came after 11,000 shares traded.
The bank’s preference shares were also up — by $48, or 4.6 per cent, to $1,100 after 400 shares sold.
The bank’s price on the New York Stock Exchange dropped 14 cents, or 0.54 per cent, to $25.58.
Property investment firm West Hamilton Holdings fell 50 cents, or 7.1 per cent, to $6.50 after 3,000 shares moved.
Insurance company BF&M was unchanged at $18.05 after 941 shares changed hands.
The Royal Gazette/BSX closed up 3.83 points or 0.24 per cent at 1,620.70.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 4.23 points or 0.25 per cent at 1,701.79.
