The Bank of Butterfield yesterday gained 10 cents to $25.10 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The move, equal to 0.4 per cent, came after 5,553 shares sold.

The bank’s price on the New York Stock Exchange also rose, up four cents, or 0.15 per cent, to $26.28.

Utilities group Ascendant dropped 47 cents, or 6.7 per cent, to $6.50 after 2,700 shares changed hands.

Telecoms firm KeyTech was static at $2.50 after 2,000 shares moved.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed down 0.04 points at 1,638.4.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 13.10 points, or 0.78 per cent, at 1,665.45.
