The Bank of Butterfield rose $1 to $31 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The move, equal to 3.3 per cent, came after 2,390 shares sold.

The bank also rose on the New York Stock Exchange, up 61 cents or 1.91 per cent, to $32.51.

Insurance firm Argus remained at $4.75 after 20 shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose 44.98 points, or 2.40 per cent, to 1,917.53.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 0.71 points, or 0.04 per cent, at 1,775.26.
