The Bank of Butterfield rose 30 cents to $33 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The 0.9 per cent move came after 16,067 shares traded.

On the New York Stock Exchange the bank was also up, by 76 cents, or 2.34 per cent, to $32.27.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 13.49 points, or 0.68 per cent, at 1,988.17.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 6.86 points, or 0.38 per cent, at 1,834.23.
