Shares of Bank of Butterfield were down 75 cents to $33.25 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The fall, equal to 2.2 per cent, came after 4,267 shares traded.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank was also down — 20 cents, or 0.58 per cent, at $34.17.

Insurance firm BF&M gained 50 cents, or 2.4 per cent, to $21.50 after 1,000 shares sold.

Telecoms company One Communications lost 10 cents, or 3.4 per cent, to $2.80 after 2,000 shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index dropped 31.28 points, or 1.51 per cent, to 2,042.06.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 5.15 points, or 0.28 per cent, at 1,850.06.
