Shares of Butterfield Bank improved by 25 cents, or 0.8 per cent, to $33.50 after 8,138 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

On the New York Stock Exchange the bank’s shares were down 13 cents, or 0.38 per cent, at $34.04.

Shares of Argus Group Holdings lost 20 cents, or 4.3 per cent, to close at $4.50 after 1,000 changed hands on the local exchange.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose 7.25 points. or 0.35 per cent, to 2,049.31.

The BSX Insurance Index was also hight, up 8.82 points, or 0.48 per cent, at 1,847.74.
