Argus Group shares dropped by 23 cents, or 5.8 per cent, to $3.77 after 20,398 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Shares of Ascendant Group improved by one cent, or 0.1 per cent, to $9.26 after 35,049 changed hands.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were five cents down, or 0.14 per cent, at $36.88.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was 4.5 points lower, or 0.21 per cent, at 2,141.97.

The BSX Insurance Index rose 10.48 points, or 0.56 per cent, to 1,879.97.
