Argus Group shares were down 15 cents, or 3.8 per cent, at $3.85 after 40,000 were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

There was also trading of 3,200 shares in BF&M Ltd, and 6,916 shares of Ascendant Group, but with no change to the respective closing prices.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down three points, or 0.14 per cent, at 2,092.07.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank shares were 20 cents lower, or 0.55 per cent, at $36.23.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 17.1 points, or 0.93 per cent, at 1,903.6.
