Shares of HSBC Holdings improved by five cents, or 0.46 per cent, to $10.80 after 2,338 were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

A total of 6,682 shares of Butterfield Bank, and two shares of BF&M Ltd, were also exchanged, but with no change to either stock’s closing price.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were down eight cents, or 0.2 per cent, at $40.29.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 2,313.29.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 12.23 points, or 0.67 per cent, at 1,834.13.
