On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were down 25 cents, or 0.64 per cent, at $39.10.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was 11.15 points lower, or 0.49 per cent, at 2,258.31.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 2.34 points, or 0.13 per cent, at 1,853.05.
