Quiet close to positive week for BSX

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index ended a positive week with a quiet day as no shares traded.
For the week, the index gained 10.67 points, or 0.42 per cent, to close on 2,501.91.
Over the five days of trading, Butterfield Bank gained 1.1 per cent to close on $44.50, while insurer Argus Group gained 0.5 per cent to close on $3.92 and Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd, parent company of The Royal Gazette, climbed 0.2 per cent to $6.16.
Trading volume for the week was just shy of 10,000 shares, while turnover topped $155,000.
The BSX Insurance Index fell almost 1 per cent today, shedding 18.83 points to close on 1,884.21.
In New York, Butterfield’s US-listed shares fell $1, or 2.2 per cent, to close on $44.50 — the same price as the bank’s BSX-listed shares.
