Shares of Ascendant Group Holdings moved up $1.50, or 14.3 per cent, to $12 after 1,900 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Meanwhile, shares of Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd, published of The Royal Gazette, slipped by five cents, or 0.8 per cent, to $6.10 after 3,000 were exchanged.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were down 38 cents, or 0.78 per cent, at $48.56.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 14.4 points, or 0.53 per cent, to 2,713.83.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 4.21 points, or 0.23 per cent, at 1,865.5.
