Shares of Butterfield Bank fell 15 cents, or 0.3 per cent, to $47.25 after 1,650 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX. On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were up 40 cents, or 0.84 per cent, to $48.15.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 6.75 points, or 0.25 per cent, at 2,695.65. The BSX Insurance Index was up 3.02 points, or 0.17 per cent, at 1,814.43.
