One Communications Ltd was the most actively traded stock on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The telecommunications group closed unchanged on $3.15 as 9,920 of its shares changed hands.

The only other stock to trade was that of Ascendant Group, parent company of power utility Belco, which closed unchanged on $16.50 as 76 shares were traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 2,883.61. Trading volume was 9,996 shares, while turnover totalled $32,599.

The BSX Insurance Index gained 8.7 points, or 0.52 per cent, to close on 1,678.71.

In New York, Butterfield Bank’s shares fell 81 cents, or 1.6 per cent, to close on $50.12.
