Argus shares gain 1.8% on BSX
Argus Group Holdings Ltd gained 1.8 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The insurer climbed six cents to close on $3.47 on the trading of 769 shares.
Argus was the only stock price to change, although three others traded.
Butterfield Bank remained on $38, as 1,600 of its shares changed hands. The bank’s US-listed shares fell 52 cents, or 1.3 per cent, to close on $38.39 in New York.
Ascendant Group Ltd, parent company of electricity company Belco, closed unchanged on $17, as 8,494 shares were traded.
Insurer BF&M Ltd remained on $16.10 as 1,061 shares were exchanged.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 1.2 points to close on 2,279.65. For the week, the index plummeted more than 27 per cent, mainly as a result of the 26.2 per cent plunge in the value of Butterfield’s shares over the five-day period.
The BSX Insurance Index added 0.27 of a point to close on 1,469.35.
