Butterfield and Ascendant trade on BSX

Butterfield Bank and Ascendant Group were the only stocks to trade on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
Butterfield remained unchanged on $38 as 1,500 shares changed hands. The bank’s US-listed shares fell 50 cents, or 1.3 per cent, in New York on another down day for Wall Street.
Ascendant, parent company of power utility Belco, also remained unchanged on $17, as 2,456 of its shares traded.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 2,279.65. Trading volume totalled 3,956 shares, while turnover was $98,752.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 14.37 points, or nearly 1 per cent, to close at 1,454.98.
