Butterfield shares gain 1.4% on BSX

Bank boost: Butterfield shares rose to spur The Royal Gazette/BSX Index to a 1 per cent gain
Butterfield Bank shares rose 1.4 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The bank gained 50 cents to close on $36 as 260 shares changed hands.
Butterfield’s US-listed shares fell 11 cents, or 0.3 per cent, to close on $36.88 on the New York Stock Exchange.
Butterfield was the only stock to trade on the BSX.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index added 22.49 points, or 1.04 per cent, to close on 2,186.65.
The BSX Insurance Index gained 14.4 points, or 0.98 per cent, to close on 1,486.34.
