Shares of Ascendant Group improved $2.75, or 15.1 per cent, to $21 after 400 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
Butterfield Bank improved by 25 cents, or 0.6 per cent, to $39.50 after 100 shares were exchanged, while on the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were down four cents, or 0.1 per cent, at $40.02.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 37.77 points, or 1.6 per cent, at 2,394.53. The BSX Insurance Index was up 15.52 points, or 1.01 per cent, at 1,559.63.
