Argus shares dip 5.2% on BSX

Shares of Ascendant and Argus lost ground in BSX trading

Shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd fell to a new 52-week low on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The insurer, which after the close of trading announced the acquisition of Toronto-based medical case management firm One Team Health, fell 16 cents, or 5.2 per cent, to close on $2.90, as 10,000 of its shares changed hands.

Ascendant Group Ltd also fell. The owner of power utility Belco dipped 51 cents, or 2.4 per cent, to close on $20.49, as 2,000 shares were traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 8.12 points, or 0.35 per cent, to close on 2,300.25.

BSX trading volume totalled 12,000 shares, while turnover was $69,980.

Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares gained 77 cents, or 2.07 per cent on the New York Stock Exchange to close on $38.02. The bank last traded at $38 on the BSX.

The BSX Insurance Index gained 2.51 points, or 0.16 per cent, to close on 1,584.53.
