In New York, shares of Butterfield Bank were up 11 cents, or 0.41 per cent, at $27.22.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down four points, or 0.2 per cent, at 1,957.4, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 19.95 points, or 1.18 per cent, at 1,736.3.
