Shares of BF&M Ltd rose 0.6 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The insurer gained ten cents to close on a 52-week high of $18 as 500 shares changed hands.

BF&M was the only stock to trade on the BSX. The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 0.77 of a point to close on 2,117.14.

Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares slumped $1.18, or 3.78 per cent, to close on $30.04 on the New York Stock Exchange. The bank last traded at $31 on the BSX.

The BSX Insurance Index climbed 14.23 points, or 0.81 per cent, to close on 1,775.87.
