Watlington Waterworks shares hit year high

There were big moves in utility stocks in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

Watlington Waterworks Ltd gained $2, or 8.7 per cent, to close on a new 52-week high of $25 as 2,000 shares changed hands.

Telecoms group One Communications Ltd dipped 34 cents, or 8.8 per cent, to close on $3.51 as 6,655 shares were traded.

BF&M Ltd gained 25 cents, or 1.4 per cent, to close at a new 52-week high of $18.25 as 4,400 shares changed hands.

Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares gained 24 cents, or 0.81 per cent, to close at $29.91 on the New York Stock Exchange. The bank last traded on the BSX at $29.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell by 0.78 of a point to close on 2,034.67. BSX trading volume totalled 13,055 shares, while turnover was $153,659.05.

The BSX Insurance Index gained 2.33 points, or 0.14 per cent, to close on 1,716.87.
