Butterfield climbs 1.8% on BSX

Shares of Butterfield Bank climbed 1.8 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The bank gained 60 cents to close on $33.60 as 400 shares changed hands.
Butterfield’s US-listed shares moved in the opposite direction, falling 22 cents, or 0.65 per cent, to close on $33.83 on the New York Stock Exchange.
The only other stock to trade on the BSX was BF&M Ltd. The insurer was unchanged on $20 as 300 shares were traded.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climbed 26.99 points, or 1.22 per cent, to close on 2,234.57. BSX trading volume totalled 700 shares, while turnover was $19,440.
The BSX Insurance Index gained 27.12 points, or 1.62 per cent, to close on 1,697.98.
