Butterfield shares hold steady in New York
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index remained unchanged on 2,244.32 after a day when no shares traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank fell one cent to close at $33.64 on the New York Stock Exchange. The bank last traded at $34 on the BSX.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 3.17 points, or 0.19 per cent, to close on 1,689.59.
Meanwhile the BSX announced the suspension of trading of Delta Fixed Income Bonds, “pending clarification on the fair value of the bonds”.
The issuer also announced the resignation of John Sutherland Hindness as a director, effective November 8.
The BSX statement added: “The issuer will keep bondholders updated and will advise as and when there is any change enabling the issuer to resume coupon and redemption payments.”
