Shares of Butterfield Bank were down 43 cents, or 1.15 per cent, at $36.90, on the New York Stock Exchange.

There were no trades on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, which was unchanged at 2,384.57 points on the first day of trading since Tuesday.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 14.76 points, or 0.86 per cent, at 1,721.7.
