Shares of LOM Financial Limited slipped two cents, or 0.7 per cent, to $2.75 after 2,700 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were down 64 cents, or 1.77 per cent, at $35.55.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 0.12 of a point, or 0.01 per cent, at 2,353.32, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 5.54 points, or 0.32 per cent, at 1,720.49.

Meanwhile, Somers Limited purchased 238 of its own common shares at an average cost of $15 per share during December.

The shares will be cancelled with immediate effect.

In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange, Somers said the number of common shares in issue as at December 31 was 20,670,010.
